Andreas Birath was born in 1974 and grew up in Stenungsund on the Swedish west coast. Having spent the better part of his childhood drawing, Andreas made his way into the ad business where he worked as an illustrator and art director. A growing sense of being in the wrong place doing the wrong thing led him to full time studies at The Florence Academy of Art. He was made an assistant instructor and completed the three-year Painting Program. He is currently Assistant Director of The Florence Academy of Art’s branch school near Gothenburg in Mölndal, Sweden.
