Branka Sipka was born in Belgrade, Serbia. During high school she took evening drawing courses that sparked her interest in realism. After studying art history in Athens for two years she was accepted at The Florence Academy of Art. She received her painting certificate in 2005. Her first group exhibition took place in London at W.H. Patterson Gallery in the Fall of that year. She is now primarily focusing on portraits. In March 2007 Branka had a solo exhibition of her portraits at the Student Cultural Centre Gallery in Belgrade, Serbia. She also participated in an exhibit at the Kolarac Gallery in Belgrade in April of this year.
