Lori Shorin

Born in New York, Lori graduated with highest honors from the State University of New York at Binghamton with a BFA and earned her MFA from the University of Pennsylvania.  Before coming to the Florence Academy of Art, Lori taught in the undergraduate and continuing education departments at the New Hampshire Institute of Art. Exhibitions include Mariposa Museum of International Culture (NH), Islip Museum (NY), Montserrat College (MA), and the New Hampshire Institute of Art. Lori’s work is also included in private collections throughout the United States.

Lori celebrates the unity of all religions in her daily life and art. “By deliberate and focused observation of Nature, my mind is quieted and I am drawn closer to the Creator. My goal is to express the pure joy and inner stillness of the soul.”
