Gianluca Rotelli was born in Livorno, Italy in 1974. He graduated from the High school for Visual Arts in 1992 and enrolled in the Fine Arts Academy in Florence. He completed his studies at there in 1997. He then enrolled at The Florence Academy of Art, obtaining his painting certificate in 2004.

Gianluca has won many awards for his paintings and has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions in Italy. His work has also been exhibited in the Grenning Gallery, Sag Harbor, New York and at the Century Gallery, Alexandria, Virginia. He participated in the Second Annual Alumni Exhibit in 2006 and was part of a group show at the Solomon Gallery, in Dublin, Ireland, in 2006
