Alicia Ponzio is a figurative sculptress and recent graduate (2008) of The Florence Academy of Art Sculpture Program. She is currently living and working Florence. During her studies at the Florence Academy of Art, Alicia taught figure drawing and presented a lecture on the Classical Period in Greek sculpture. As a fourth year student, she is currently designing and teaching a course at the FAA on anatomy for artists. Her work can be found in private collections both in Italy and in the United States. Alicia feels fortunate to be following her dreams and living them daily. Her goal is to bring to her work empathy toward other human beings and sincerity of expression; as these are some of the things she finds to be beautiful.
