Dana Levin is the recipient of numerous awards and honors including; Who’s Who in American Art, The John F. and Anna Lee Stacey Foundation, First Place Juried Exhibition New Britain Museum of American Art, Ridgewood Art Association Award and Raymond Chow Memorial Award from American Artists Professional League, and First Place Portrait Category from The Artist’s Magazine.
Ms. Levin’s paintings have been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout the United States and abroad. In addition, her work is in the permanent collection of the Everson Museum in Syracuse, NY and The New Britain Museum of American Art, New Britain, CT.
Dana Levin was born in Virginia in 1969 and grew up in Miami, Florida. In high school she attended the New World School of the Arts and graduated with a BFA from the Art Institute of Chicago in 1990. Afterward, she completed the Certificate Program at The Florence Academy of Art, Italy and remained in Italy for 8 years. Ms. Levin has taught academic drawing and painting at the Florence Academy of Art and from her private studio in the United States, where she now resides.
