While some paths in life are straight, the most worthwhile seem to take their time and this is true for Evan Fugazzi in finding his home with painting. Evan is a painter who embraces sincerity and insight. He strives to use that which we can see to communicate the invisible and intangible. Painting is his way of passionately communicating with the world around him.

A native of Lexington, Kentucky, Evan has since ventured out to embrace the rest of the world. His exploration began when he attended the University of Notre Dame, graduating with an honors degree in classical architecture and the knowledge that he was not destined to be an architect. He is a painter.

While studying in Rome as part of his college experience, Evan discovered The Florence Academy of Art in Florence, Italy, and his passion for great paintings. Here the seeds for his future were planted. Following graduation, he returned to Florence to pursue an education in academic painting. He graduated from The Florence Academy of Art with the advantages of studying at both school locations--the venerable Florence, Italy, and upstart Gothenburg, Sweden.

After Evan studied in Norway with the prodigious Odd Nerdrum and continuing his life-long education as a painter, He returned to the Sweden location of The Florence Academy of Art in the Fall of 2008 as an instructor to assist others with their artistic educations.  Currently, Evan resides in his hometown of Lexington, Kentucky and continues to explore the world around him through painting.
