Kristin Frogner has a versatile background. Before she came to The Florence Academy of Art, she worked as an actress and as a singer/songwriter. Her music has been released in Norway and also in the U.S. She writes all her lyrics, composes her melodies, plays the guitar and co-produces. She has studied History of Art at The University of Oslo, Philosophy in Bali and Theatre at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. Since she was very young she has also been taking classes in drawing and classical dance. Although she has had many interests, her highest and most profound passion was for The Fine Arts – The REAL Fine Arts – the kind she thought wasn’t being made anymore. But she would return time and again to her favorite museum in the world – The Rodin Museum in Paris. She had searched, but never found a school that could offer the kind of training that is given at The Florence Academy of Art. When she was exposed to the school’s website, by chance, she immediately applied, was accepted and started The Sculpture Program just weeks later, leaving everything else behind. She has found what she wants to spend her life doing, believing that with enough effort, humility and longing for beauty and truth -art can play an important part in the world today. |
