Ben Fenske was born in the village of St. Joseph, Minnesota in 1978 and spent his childhood there. Prompted by a love of drawing he went to Minneapolis in 1999, where he studied with both Peter Bougie and the landscape painter Joseph Paquet. In 2002 he traveled to Italy for further study at The Florence Academy of Art. He currently lives and paints in Florence, Italy.
