Prior to coming to The Florence Academy of Art in 1995, Warren considered himself a “closet” artist. After retiring from an Engineering career, which included 18 years of consulting on international projects overseas, he and his wife moved to Florence from Munich, Germany, where he could pursue his life long dream. Since leaving the Academy he has participated in group exhibitions showing primarily portraits and landscapes. His paintings are in private collections in Europe, America and Canada. He considers one of his most rewarding achievements painting the portraits of 14 of his 16 grandchildren. He and his wife continue to reside in Florence.
