Lotta Blokker was born in Amsterdam in 1980. At the age of 19 she moves to Italy and starts a three year drawing and sculpture course at the Florence Academy of Art.

As a talented student she receives a scholarship during her first year; in her second year she becomes assistant-teacher. After finishing her studies she teaches two days at the academy and works on her sculptures in a studio, offered by the school.

After three years of teaching she returns to the Netherlands and starts her own studio in the center of Amsterdam. Works of Lotta Blokker are part of numerous private collections in Europe and the U.S.A. She has been exhibiting her sculptures in museums and galleries internationally.
