Elena Arcangeli was born in Florence in 1972, and graduated from the High School for Visual Arts in 1991. After studying graphic arts, and working in decorative painting, she enrolled in The Florence Academy of Art in 1994, completing the painting program in 1998. In 2004 she received a grant from The Pollock-Krasner Foundation. She has participated in many group exhibitions, most recently in “Realism Revisited”, Panorama Museum, Bad Frankenhausen, Germany, Hirschl & Adler Gallery, New York, Century Gallery, Alexandria, Virginia, Ann Long Fine Art Gallery, Charleston, South Carolina, Andreeva Portrait Gallery, Santa Fe, New Mexico, Banca Primavera, Venezia, Italy and the First Annual Alumni Exhibition of The Florence Academy of Art in 2005, Florence, Italy. She continues to live and work in Florence and her paintings are in private collections in Italy and the United States.
