Andy was born in San Francisco, California in 1969. He graduated from the California College of Arts and Crafts with an honors BA in 2000. He returned to The Florence Academy of Art in 2002 to continue his studies. He had been a student at the Academy for one year in 1998. He completed his Painting Certificate and is currently the principal Anatomy instructor. He also teaches ecorché and drawing at the school. He has participated in group exhibits at the W.H. Patterson Gallery, London and in the Second Annual Alumni Exhibit, Florence, Italy. He has received The Stacey Foundation scholarship and the Art Renewal Scholarship (two years).
